There will be an elevated, accessible viewing platform for people with disabilities and their families / friends / carers. This platform is accessible from the north of the toilet block. The platform has ramps, handrails, lighting, and a marquee for shade.
There will be lots of traffic on Wyndham and Sobraon Streets and the event site is not fenced. There will be many people during the event, some animals on leads, live music and dance performances on two stages, emergency service vehicles, and activities for kids. Victoria Park Lake is a large area and there will be spaces that offer less noise onsite, as well as a designated ‘chill out zone’.
Onsite there is an all accessible, all gender bathroom. In addition, there are male and female toilets in the toilet block.
First aid will be available on site and is located north of the toilet block.
Animals on leads or restrained are welcome at this event. Pet owners are responsible for supervising and cleaning up after their animals.
There will be lots of tables and chairs provided near the food trucks as well as some umbrellas providing shade. You can also bring a picnic rug and chairs to sit on and enjoy the day.
Weather - this event will be held in all weather conditions. If extreme weather is predicted, notification will be made in the week leading up to the event.
There will be Council event staff on site who will be wearing high-vis vests and long-sleeve black Council shirts. If you need any assistance during the event, please contact a Council staff member or a security guard and we will be happy to help.
